A few photos... Enjoy

After arriving (Thursday), we settled in, went shopping and enjoyed the cool of the evening.  Here are a few photos of our view from the condo.

First morning we awoke to the hum of the "lawn eaters-----lawnmowers disguised as weed eaters. And today, we had an early morning fog.... It is incredibly beautiful with the sound of crashing waves at points during the day.

Yesterday it was off to Cihualtan (30 km north) and Barra de Navidad (60 km north). Cihaultan is a small town of 7,000 folks. Visited the local church and saw that the town as getting ready for Semana Santa (Holy Week). Lots of events and fiestas planned for next week so we plan to return.

Then on to Barra de Navidad which is a small fishing village disguised as a coastal surfing spot. It is a very layback environment with lots of small hotels, a malecon (boardwalk) and lagoon. Across the lagoon is a high end hotel, the Grand Hotel de Navidad. In the hotel photo below you can see one of Bill Gates' villas (green to the right and above hotel). Lots of Canadians spend the winter months here. Had a great lunch a one of the small restaurants:  Grill camarones and fish grilled with garlic--- Wonderful flavors.

Well, I am writing this as we watch Kentucky playing with and I mean playing with Louisville. Waiting for the Kansas v. Ohio State game. Bye for now.

Spring in Manzanillo

Hi there

Arrived in Manzanillo last Wednesday ( one day late due to airport closure---- President Caulderon was in Manzanillo dedicating a new de-gasification plant and there has high level security. Closed all flights between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Tuesday.

Weather is wonderful. 80 during the day and 70 in the evening. The condo has outstanding views.

Will keep you posted on our new adventures and add some photos later today. Off to the pool to the right of the photo above and back in a few hours for the Kentucky v. Louisville and then Kansas v. Indiana later.
